Milestones

Theo has reached a new milestone – he’s grown enough to need a full-sized violin. We went to the excellent Sol Vista Violins in Lafayette and they took good care of us.

Here’s the proud owner of a new instrument. It already sounds much better than the older one and we’re told this instrument will really need a few months of dedicated playing for the wood to really loosen up and give its full sound.

Theo made out like a bandit with a new fiddle, a new bow, a new case, a new shoulder-rest, as well as a humidifier and some fancy rosin. Should be set for a while now.
