It’s been difficult to find studio time and have the energy to work but I’ve been trying to get in as often as I can and keep pushing a couple of portraits forward.
This portrait of Dr. Hinkie continues to move forward. I’ve got much of the main subject blocked in and at least two passes at this point. I still need to work on the right-hand side of the image. The violin-string hand still needs a lot of work and the scroll is still just sketched in. That said, I’m really pleased with much of what’s happening here… just need to find the time to keep pushing until the painting is complete.
I’ve also got the portrait of Julie that I’m trying to push on. Still a long way to go on this one but I’ve got much of main subject blocked in now. A lot of the transitions are still looking patchy but happy with the progress overall.
