Got two solid studio days in this weekend. On Saturday I worked on the portrait of Josh. This is just the second chromatic layer. The jacket turned out a bit more desaturated than I had intended so I’m considering glazing some blues back over the top. The hair is just blocked in at this point and clearly that’s the part that needs the most work at this point.

On Sunday I worked on the portrait of Tabby. This is the third chromatic layer and I think I’ve finally resolved most of the drawing issues. It’s a much better likeness now and I’m feeling much better about it now. Again, the hair is just blocked in and is the part of the painting that needs the most work at this point.

Update: now with better photos.
Nice!
